Strategy

As part of strategic tasks for the development of Russian energy industries, the EM-Alliance holding’s mission is to provide a high-tech basis for the construction and modernization of generating capacities.

Basic principles, that the development strategy is built upon, are the adherence to the nation’s interests in the development of the energy industries, opening new markets with effective high-tech projects and enhancement of the corporate management strategies.

DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY PRIORITIES FOR 2006-2007:

Development and implementation of typical solutions for the thermal and nuclear power industries, allowing carrying out modernization and construction of generating capacities in undertime while providing the maximum economic outcomes. In fact, every boiler is actually being designed from the scratch, and that requires time and material resources. Implementation of template solutions will allow decreasing the design expenses by 30%, and the construction timeline by 40%.

Implementation of new technologies in power engineering:

  • Circular boiling bed boilers
  • Supercritical steam condition boilers
  • Steam-gas combined cycle technology enhancement

The EMAlliance holding’s innovations provide energy industry professionals a wide choice, and thus allow for a flexible strategy of behavior at the energy market being formed under the state reforms.

Further development of the ERS contract system in power plant construction. This system of operation is the most effective and beneficial for the consumer, because a single contractor is responsible for all stages of operation from the designing, equipment procurement and the construction itself. It is also responsible for the plant’s capacity, efficiency and reliability, capital expenses, operational coordination and its timeline. EM-Alliance has already used this system during the construction of the Uong-Bi TPP (in cooperation with the Power Machines); it will be also used at the TPP-26 project (Mosenergo) and a number of other projects.
